Prospero Teaching is looking for a **confident and energetic Sports Coach** to engage students in a Secondary SEMH Alternative Provision in Blackburn.

You will be needed to deliver PE sessions across all ages. They must be confident in implementing the school sport programme effectively promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles and be a perfect role model for pupils who are disengaged with theirstudies.

The school is for students in Key Stage 2 - Key Stage 4, many of whom have found it difficult to be successful in a mainstream school and some with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school is a provision for a range of needs, including autisticspectrum disorder, Asperger's Syndrome, speech and language difficulties and severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties, for example, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),

Located in Blackburn the school is easily accessed by public transport with bus stops nearby. The school has onsite parking available.

The position is open to all experienced and those who have a strong background in delivering and mentoring sports to children and young adults. Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

**EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous experience in a similar setting / SEMH/ PRU
- LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
- GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
- Team Teach qualified (or signed up to attend the with our agency)

**TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST**:

- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
