As part of the DeltaEducation Trust, Delta Bespoke manages and runs a series of Adventure Learning Outdoor Education Centres for young people who struggle in mainstream education settings. Your role within Delta Bespoke’s Adventure Learning team will be to educateclassesfrom a variety of special and alternative provision schools in the Portsmouth area. These school’scater for a variety of students that are hard to place or out of education from mainstream settings. We endeavour to help our learners to feel they matter and belong, enabling them to improve their social, emotional and academic skills to be the best that they can be.

Our Adventure Learning centre provides an outdoor education curriculum for a wide age range. Based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, the centre’s location provides us with a wide range of excellent nearby locations for bushcraft, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, mountain biking, sailing, indoor climbing, and more.

With that in mind, we support our staff in achieving relevant outdoor qualifications needed for the role. We are looking for someone who currently holds multiple relevant NGB’s (BCU Level 2, RCI, ML, British Cycling MTB Leader etc). Teaching/youth work qualifications would be desirable and experience working with students of this nature.

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated and flexible individual who can form positive relationships with students with a wide range of special needs in order to make a positive difference. Resilience and a sense of humour is a must.

If successfully shortlisted the HR Department will also be conducting an individual online search including social media platforms of your ‘name, education and employment’, to demonstrate due diligence following the updated ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022' guidance. The search will not form part of the actual shortlisting process and any concerns arising from the search will be discussed directly with you.

**Salary**: £20,597.00-£41,333.00 per year
