We are looking for a Finance Associate to support the Finance Business Partner in the operational processes of the finance department. To ensure that invoicing, data entry and supplier payments are timely and accurate. To ensure balance sheet and bank reconciliations are up to date and queries are resolved. Support the delivery of management accounts and year end summaries.

This position will suit someone that has an eye for detail and identifying financial opportunities.

Our business is growing fast, therefore we would like someone who is able to work at pace and has the gravitas to engage with multiple stakeholders in a collaborative, cross-functional finance function.

You will be provided with full top down support from the Finance Business Partner to deliver the financial operational and strategic goals for both the UK and US businesses.

**Highlight of Key Responsibilities**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Raise sales invoices to clients for the Company’s services, using study trackers and study management, whilst ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Raise passthrough invoices to clients whilst maintaining/reconciling the passthrough checker.
- Bank account maintenance including reconciliations of the bank accounts for the four UK and US entities and ensuring sufficient funds are allocated to the necessary accounts as required.
- Organise, file and submit VAT submissions on behalf of the Company.
- Process all supplier invoices received in DEXT for all four UK & US entities.
- Ensure all payments are set up in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
- To be responsible for the management of the Company’s petty cash procedure, including monthly reconciliation. Escalate as required any discrepancies to the Head of People.
- Processing of all employee expenses as required, including the set up of new employees within the XERO system.
- Processing of subcontractor payments either direct to contractor of via agency hosts.
- Processing of prepayments and accruals as required.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and support with depreciation calculations as required by the Finance Business Partner.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations as required.
- Support Finance Business Partner with Year end accounts and Financial audit.
- Assist the Finance Business Partner with documenting and improving finance processes and procedures.
- Liaise with key stakeholders on a monthly basis to review management accounts, identify opportunities, and identify discrepancies at the earliest opportunity.
- Hold people accountable for cost expenditure, ensuring costs are justified and cost-effective, and being confident to challenge where necessary expenditure in the appropriate way.

**Key Skills/Attributes/Education**

**Essential**:

- Xero experience
- Data processing experience (invoices)
- Bookkeeping experience
- AAT Level 3 qualification (or working towards)

**Desirable**:

- Experience of working with Google Suite
- Intermediate or above in Google Sheet or Excel
- Dext experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
