Cost Analyst

ELevation Accountancy & Finance are currently supporting a leading manufacturing firm, based in the Worksop area, as they look to expand their team with an ambitious Cost Analyst
Our client is looking for someone with a genuine passion for finance, strong analytical skills and attention to detail with excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with individuals across the business. Key Accountabilities of the Cost Analyst:

- Drive the importance of product costing across the business to assist managers in making key strategic decision
- Review of current / new product costs including completing costing runs
- Identify material requirements
- Preparation of cost calculations for new products to assist in the setting of commercial prices
- Drive standardisation through documented processes and seek opportunities for process improvements
- Invest time in understanding business process and areas for improvement
- Understand what makes up production overheads and report variance analysis
- Invest time to understand the production process and impacts on business performance
- Analyse and review workshop costs
- Review current stock holdings in line with business requirements
- Preparation of workshop month end accounts
- Prepare and submit monthly accounts for a UK subsidiary
Person Specification:

- Finance Graduate / AAT studier or CIMA/ACCA Part Qualified
- Excellent analytical skills including Excel (pivot tables & VLOOKUP's)
- Strong communication skills
- Keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
