**Job Title: Production Operative - P3/P4**

**Base: Wellingborough**

**Responsible to: Production Manager**

**Reports To: Production Supervisor**

**Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off rotation days/nights shift pattern - 6am-6pm/6pm-6am**

We use our innovative recycling process to close the loop on uPVC recycling. This means that old windows and doors can be recycled and extruded into new windows and doors that boast the same standard of quality as the ones previous.

**Main Purpose**:

- Ensure that production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through leadership of the P3.P4 phase of production
- Optimise production performance in P3.P4 to ensure that production targets are achieved in accordance to standard operating procedures
- Support the Production Supervisor and Production Manager with regular communication and clear handovers to ensure continuous improvement and continuity between shifts

**Responsibilities**:

- Safe operation of the associated process equipment, within Phase 1 and Phase 2.
- Work safely by following the SOP and procedures
- Complete a visual safety inspection of the equipment prior to operation
- Operate the machinery and monitor it continuously to optimise running conditions.
- Support the Production Supervisor with continuous improvement throughout the shift, reporting progress and track improvements.
- Identification, weighing and recording of regrind and waste streams and the correct disposal of waste stream materials
- Operation of PLC driven control system, for the purpose of optimising the production process, and diagnostic checks noting faults and reporting to production and maintenance supervision
- Record the weights on the production documentation and bulk bag
- Support initiatives to ensure mínimal waste and improve housekeeping during production

**Person Specification**

**Essential**:FLT licence - counterbalance

**Required Knowledge**

Production Operative background - 1-2 years

Ability to work across multiple areas of the production process

Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime and re-work

**Personal Attributes**

Passionate about continuous improvement

Self-starter who likes to take proactive initiative

Excellent timekeeping and attendance

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Display both a sense of urgency and a positive can-do attitude

Strong attention to detail

Flexible approach to shift working incl. rotating day/night patterns (4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm/6pm-6am)

**In addition to your normal duties you may, from time to time, be required to undertake additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business.**
