**GENERAL SUMMARY**

The Junior Buyer will join a fast developing and forward-thinking procurement team with a continual emphasis on providing best in class procurement support to operations and the wider Celeros organisation. Focus spend areas are wide ranging and will be transacted through SAP / Purchasing Card. The Junior Buyer will help develop procurement processes, ensure corporate governance and manage supplier performance, through expedition and also improvement tools. The Junior Buyer will need to be; passionate, agile, and committed to continuous improvement.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)**

Within this position of Junior Buyer key accountabilities are as follows:
To act as the focal point for all indirect order placement, processing purchase requisitions in a timely manner and in doing so ensure:

- All requisitions are signed and approved prior to purchase by agreed signatories
- Liaison with internal customers ensuring the requirement is clear and understood and fit for tendering with external suppliers.
- Assist the Buyers in identifying new sources of supply where required
- Ensure all Purchase Orders T&C’s in line with Celeros Supply Chain directives.
- PO placement transacted onto SAP or via Credit Card
- Continuous expediting of all indirect PO’s ensuring SAP & the internal customer are updated accordingly.
- Invoice queries reconciled and communicated
- Assist in department improvement projects
- Support Direct Material Buyers for expedition of materials
- Be responsible for day to day operations of vending, workwear, stationery supply and other general business requirements
- To administer various business support activities and be responsible for their accuracy in terms of execution and inventory levels.
- Administer KPI’s for the warehouse and purchasing department

**SKILLS**
- Strong Inter-personal skills and relationship management, Communication, IT including, strong Microsoft Office Tools skills.
- Will be trained in business systems as necessary ie. SAP

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Basic understanding of Procurement within an industrial business, would be desirable, but not necessary
- A- levels/college qualification, but more importantly exhibits the desire to make Procurement a career
