Job Title: Fire Door Inspector (FDIS qualified) for Briggs Fire & Security Ltd

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Fire Door Inspector with FDIS qualification to join our team at Briggs Fire & Security Ltd. The Fire Door Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating the condition of fire doors, frames, and associated hardware in commercial and residential buildings. The Fire Door Inspector will work closely with building owners, facility managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that fire doors comply with the relevant codes and standards and provide the necessary fire protection.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect fire doors, frames, and associated hardware in commercial and residential buildings to evaluate their condition and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Identify deficiencies and non-compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Document inspection findings and recommendations in a clear and concise report.
- Work closely with building owners, facility managers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement a fire door maintenance and inspection program.
- Advise building owners and facility managers on fire door maintenance and inspection best practices.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant codes and standards and participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

**Requirements**:

- FDIS (Fire Door Inspection Scheme) qualification is essential.
- 2-3 years of experience in fire door inspection or related field.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including BS 8214, BS 476-22, and BS EN 1634.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to use technology to support the inspection process.
- Full driving license is essential.
