Protocol Education are seeking graduatesa Childhood Studies to work in our partner schools across Newcastle and the surrounding areas. We are working with a number of schools across the North East to recruit graduates specialising in Childhood Studies. You will work as a Teaching Assistant, SEND support assistant or higher level teaching assistant.

This is an opportunity for anyone with a childhood studies or a similar degree to gain experience in school which can then lead to a career as a teacher, educational psychologist, speech and language therapist amongst others.

We need people who have a sound understanding of child development and children's Educational, Personal and Emotional needs. You must be enthusiastic and empathetic and ideally you will be available to work Monday-Friday (during term time) must be available to work full time, with a right to work in the UK.

**The Role**:
Help to plan, deliver and evaluate exciting lessons and intervention work for young children.

Use excellent communication skills to share successes and concerns about the children with the class teacher and where required, the parents.

Support 1:1 and groups in the classroom and in other areas such as outside or in assemblies.

Be prepared to "go the extra mile" for the children in your care.

Assist with assessments and interventions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
