Job Role.
To implement and assess training activities to increase and embed the knowledge, skills and abilities within the workforce. This role will be 20% office based and 80% factory based.
**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Work closely with team leaders, supervisors and department managers to establish a fully trained and competent workforce.
- Ensure training is in line with standard operating procedures for the relevant department in addition to company SOP’s, policies and procedures
- Ensure good practice is embedded, and employees have the skills and knowledge to carry out their roles by assessing their competence within required timescales
- Plan and deliver assessments and reassessments for the appropriate job role
- Maintain accurate records of training and competencies to ensure an audit trail for completeness, are technically, legally and ethically compliant
- Communicate with all departments to understand the requirements on the daily and weekly plan in terms of prioritising workload for the week.
- Work with department managers and team leaders to arrange refresher training where required with mínimal operational disruption.
- Ensure that assessments and re-assessments are completed accurately and on time, maintaining compliance with relevant food legality, safety, quality and authenticity policies and procedures (including the relevant BRC version standard).
- Ensure the site's adherence to all legislative, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Highlight and provide recommendations to the L&D Officer where changes may be required for existing SOPs and procedures.
- Accurately update the relevant skills matrices when employees have been trained and signed off against SOPs, procedures, and processes.
- Be proactive with a can-do attitude in looking for solutions to improve any working area.
- Ensure seamless communication and handovers within the relevant departments, participating and valuably contributing to team and operational meetings.
- Maintain the online Learning Management System.
- Maintain skills matrices and training records for all colleagues onsite.
- Ability to work well under pressure

- Train The Trainer qualification is advantageous but not essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
