**Anaesthetic Practitioner (ODP) - Spire Healthcare Ltd, Spire Cheshire Hospital**: Spire Healthcare Ltd is looking for an Anaesthetic Practitioner (ODP) to join the team at the Spire Cheshire Hospital in Stretton, Warrington, Cheshire. This is a temporary position with a start date of 16/11/2023 and an end date of 16/11/2023.
**Requirements of the Anaesthetic Practitioner (ODP)**: The Anaesthetic Practitioner (ODP) will be responsible for providing safe and effective anaesthetic care for patients undergoing invasive procedures, surgery, and treatments in the operating environment. The ODP must have a deep understanding of all anaesthesia processes and procedures and the ability to effectively assess and respond to patients in a timely manner.
**Key Responsibilities of the Anaesthetic Practitioner (ODP)**: The Anaesthetic Practitioner (ODP) will be responsible for the following:

- Assisting in the planning, delivery and evaluation of anaesthetic services
- Managing the patient’s airway safely and effectively throughout the anaesthetic and ensuring that they are monitored appropriately
- Implementing safety protocols and maintaining safety awareness during the procedure
- Providing patient information and advice on pre
- and post-anaesthetic care
- Ensuring efficient recovery of patients post-anaesthetic and monitoring their vital signs
- Responding to any medical emergencies that may arise during the anaesthetic or post-anaesthetic period
- Assessing the patient’s medical history and observing their condition throughout the procedure
- Supporting the anaesthetist during all preoperative, operative and postoperative procedures
- Assisting with the maintenance of anaesthetic equipment and monitoring equipment
- Degree or equivalent in Anaesthetics
- Pre-registration health care professional with valid HCPC registration
- Good understanding of anaesthetic processes and procedures
- Experience in providing anaesthetic services in an operating environment
- Ability to assess and respond to changing patient needs in a timely manner
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage medical emergencies
- Ability to work collaboratively with other medical professionals
