**About us**:
The Professional Services (PS) Hub brings together key customer facing and transactional services across different functions, HR, Finance, Estates, IT and Operational Support. The PS Hub is committed to delivering high quality & efficient services, with a real emphasis on customer experience.

The Business Operation Services (BOS) Team brings together administrative & executive support from all teams within VP Offices. This new centre of excellence will deliver a connected and consistent approach to executive and administrative services focused on finance, facilities coordination, committee support and EA/PA services.

**About the role**:
Our new receptionist will be responsible for providing effective cover of the Bidborough House reception area, welcoming visitors and staff and ensuring the smooth running of the reception area for a busy UCL Building.

This role is for 2 days a week (0.4FTE/ 14.6hrs) to cover our reception desk in Bidborough House (WC1H 9BT) on Thursdays and Fridays. Please note, this role is not eligible for hybrid working and any successful applicant will need to work on-site on a Thursday and Friday between 9am and 5pm.

- This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

**About you**:
As an Administrator, Receptionist or Customer Services professional, you have previous experience in a customer facing role and a good understanding of general office and administration procedures. Additionally, you have the ability to work independently taking ownership of a diverse range of problems to resolve and can also work collaboratively as part of a team.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

- Have a good understanding of Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels
- Ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities
- Ability to organise work within deadlines, exercise initiative and have a proactive approach to providing a comprehensive service.

Although not essential, it would be beneficial if you have worked within a higher education environment before.
