Ward Clerk

Are you organised, proactive and thrive when working in a team? If so, this role is for you We are seeking an individual to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic team in the role of Ward Clerk.

You will need excellent communication skills and be able to prioritise your own workload which can vary regularly throughout the day.

We are willing to hear from anyone who has excellent administration skills, is happy and able to work primarily on a computer and is a keen team player.

The role of the Ward Clerk is extremely varied. Some of the key tasks include:

- Being the first point of contact for patients, relatives and staff both face to face and on the telephone.
- Maintaining patients case notes to an excellent standard.
- Arranging transport for patients to get home when they are ready to be discharged from hospital.
- Supporting the clinical teams with admin duties to allow them to provide hands on patients care.
- Updating and maintaining electronic inpatient records.
- Booking follow up appointments for patients after discharge.
