We are a well established, Award Winning Commercial Laundry Company based in Port Talbot.

As a result of our continued expansion, we are seeking talented individuals to join us as a Trainee Team Leader at our production facility in Port Talbot.

You will assist the Production Manager in the day-to-day operations of the laundry, and provide a safe and productive working environment for the team. And in turn, they, along with our team, will support you in your development in becoming a Team Leader.

You will work closely with a small team of production operators to ensure that processing quality, quantity and service meets the standards we have set ourselves.

Preferably, you will have experience as a production operator or a similar role and feel ready to make the next step in your career. Appropriate training will be provided to fast track your development to a full time Team Leader.

**What you will be doing**:

- Shadowing the Production Manager and current Team leaders
- Developing your skills in leading a team
- Training and understanding our processes with an aim to training others in the future
- Ensuring workflow is maintained
- Monitoring and achieving performance targets
- Stepping into production departments when required
- Key responsibilities of a Team Leader (Your target)
- Assist Production Manager with day-to-day operational issues, to ensure the smooth running of the Laundry. Including training operators on processes in a safe manner (in line with company policies).

Monitor the Production output to reach / exceed daily targets.

Ensure that operations are maintained by completing the required production units in a timely manner, and to a satisfactory quality whilst focusing and recording on the relevant KPI's of the business.

Monitor linen and other regular stock checks and supply accurate information.

Responsible for general cleanliness, and other housekeeping duties including the outside yard area.

Be responsible for start up in the morning, and shut down in the evening - shift depending.
