Were looking for a Cardiorespiratory Assistant to join our Physiological Measurements team, in Redruth, on a full-time permanent basis. You will join our dedicated teams at our Community Diagnostic Centres, where we prioritise patient well-being and employ cutting-edge diagnostic technologies. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about healthcare and eager to learn to join our team as Cardiorespiratory Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, conducting a variety of respiratory and cardiac assessments while receiving comprehensive training and development.

If so, we would like to hear from you What you will do: As a Cardiorespiratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in performing a range of diagnostic tests related to both respiratory, phlebotomy and cardiac health. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Conducting respiratory assessments such as spirometry, FeNO (Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide) testing, lung function tests, and 6-minute walk tests.

Performing cardiac assessments including blood pressure monitoring, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and other cardiac monitoring procedures. Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results through proper calibration and adherence to standardised testing protocols. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to assist in the interpretation and analysis of test results. Providing patient education and support throughout the testing process, ensuring their comfort, and understanding.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standardised testing procedures accurately. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all aspects of the job. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
