Production Team Leader

Sky Sports’ Production team has a wide and varied remit across our portfolio of sporting rights. Our Team Leaders will be responsible for managing our first-class production support. Exemplary people skills & a passion for teamwork, planning & organisation are essential.
What you'll do:
- As a member of the production team within Sky Sports, you'll oversee the day to day line management of a team of Production Coordinators and Travel & Expenses Coordinators ensuring excellent delivery support.
- Ensure direct team are engaged, have clear objectives and targets. Disseminate the information and knowledge that they need by communicating regularly with them the understanding of functional or departmental goals
- Providing coaching and performance feedback to team members
- Ensure production coordinator support across the content that your team delivers and the wider department, monitoring and anticipating workloads on a continuous basis
- Raise performance by supporting and challenging people in your team and the wider team, building a fair and consistent performance and development culture across the department
- Promote the importance of good occupational health practices, and general wellbeing at work, and ensure all your people are aware of the support tools available to them
- Ensure that the monthly financial reporting structure is delivered and act as a support to PMs in ensuring timeliness of this delivery
- Escalation and collation point for administrative issues, working closely with the Production Planning team to constantly develop process
- Oversee effective recruitment process to hire top talent and allow for an element of expected and efficient succession planning
- Maintain and promote relationships between Production and all key stakeholders
- Work with other team leaders to align and maintain consistency across the department around travel, planning, finance, rotas and team development
- Manage demand and/or booking conflicts through to resolution
- Be the main point of contact within your team for implementing Sky Sports policies (Travel, Expenses, Ways of Working, etc) and systems.
- Support the Manager of Production Sustainability with the implementation of production sustainability projects including Albert.
- Take on ad hoc project work within the team & ability to work some weekends and irregular hours in line with the team requirements

- The ability to demonstrate and be part of an inclusive and diverse broadcast team.
- At least 5 years’ experience working as part of broadcast team.
- Previous line management experience beneficial, but not essential within a production environment.
