**Health & Safety Officer**

We are an established Mechanical Engineering company based in Toomebridge with an impressive record in the successful completion of a variety of commercial projects throughout Ireland and GB and more recently mainland Europe. We are currently seeking a Health & Safety Officer to maintain and further advance the Health and Safety procedures within our expanding business.
- A recognised H&S qualification e.g., NEBOSH
- Good understanding of current H&S legislation, theory, and best practice.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards.
- Professional membership body status or working towards
- Relevant CSR card
- Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- 2 Years' experience practice in the construction industry _(desirable but not essential)_
- Full Driver Licence and ability to travel to sites in Ireland, GB and Mainland Europe on a monthly basis

**The Role**:

- Ensure H&S management systems are implemented and maintained across all sites.
- Managing the administration for Health & Safety inductions, Site Safety folders, and training plans for all site personnel
- Carry out regular site H&S audits, safety inspections and toolbox talks with follow up administration.
- Regularly review and assist with the update of Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures and Safety Statements.
- Manage training & compliance files for all site personnel & sub-contractors on site ensuring staff have all the relevant cards and training certifications.
- Lead & promote a continuous improvement culture in relation to all health, safety, and environmental work practices on site.
- Identify areas of risk and develop risk assessments/measures to reduce and control.
- Investigate/report accidents and incidents on-site ensuring relevant accident information for insurance purposes.
- Recording and maintenance of sub-contractor on boarding documents and management while on site
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- To maintain the company's ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations and any future standard.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
