4c has partnered with an independently owned and managed food manufacturing company with over 50 years’ experience in their market sector.

Having experienced fantastic growth in the past 5 years, and about to embark upon another exciting period of investment and growth, our client is seeking to appoint a Head of Purchasing who will be responsible for leading, managing and developing the entirepurchasing function of the business.

The individual will have a real opportunity to deliver significant impact to an already thriving business through sourcing new suppliers, building supply chain resilience, and implementing a continuous improvement mindset throughout the purchasing team ensuringworld class standards in efficiency, quality, and safety.

The Head of Purchasing will have:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior purchasing role within manufacturing.
- Demonstrable experience of leading and developing a purchasing department.
- Experience of creating a change strategy aimed at reducing carbon footprint whilst maintaining world class standards of quality and safety.
- Successful experience of working within a fast-paced environment being able to adapt to a changing global landscape.
- Proven track record of achieving profitable and sustainable partnerships with suppliers through successful negotiation.
- Proven track record of successfully reducing production spend whilst maintaining world class quality and safety standards.
