As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer working for a longstanding optical technologies company on the outskirts of Ely, you will be completing electrical and mechanical preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on machinery such as laser cutting, hydraulicpress tools, robot automated gluing and CNC’s. In addition to carrying out your duties in a clean and modern manufacturing facility, you will also support the design team with new ideas and specification of new equipment.

**What you will be doing**:

- Complete scheduled PPM to ensure downtime is minimised and a quality focused and cost-effective manner
- Complete fault finding and diagnostic checks both mechanically and electronically on various production machinery
- Dealing with machine breakdowns
- Sourcing components from equipment manufacturers
- Continuously looking to improve procedures and processes
- Assist the design team with ideas and specifications of new equipment

**About you**:

- Previous experience as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing with a Electrical bias
- Good understanding of Mechanical Assembly, Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Strong knowledge of Electrics - 3phase, single phase and industrial wiring
- Have strong problem solving skills and confident in completing diagnostic checks
- Ability to fault find on a control panel to component level and read circuit diagrams
