**Opportunity for a supplier quality engineer to join a manufacturing business with secure order books through to 2028. You will join at a key time and play a crucial role as they work through an extensive NPI period. The salary on offer is £34,250plus pension, cash plan healthcare, etc.**

The site is part of a global group of companies and has a headcount of 250+. They have undergone significant investment recently in new equipment for the business and maintain a strong focus on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. You will workas part of the quality function and will be involved in working with suppliers to ensure they can meet the required quality standards.

There will be travel (predominantly within the UK) to meet with suppliers on average once or twice a month and all travel will be with the use of a company 'pool' car meaning no additional cost to the employee.

**As the supplier quality engineer, your duties will include**:

- Coordinating and leading suppliers to enable the smooth introduction of new products
- Auditing suppliers on APQP processes
- Supporting existing supplier development.
- Generating FMEA and PFMEA control plans
- Undertaking system and process audits
- Contributing to improvement projects where necessary
- Travelling as required to visit with suppliers (predominantly in the UK)
- Previous experience in undertaking a supplier-focused role in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of working in automotive or plastics manufacturing is highly desirable
- A technical / engineering qualification is desirable
- Familiarity with quality tools and techniques such as APQP, 8D, FMEA, PFMEA, etc. would be advantageous
- The ability to travel within the UK is required to fulfil the role.

**In return, the supplier quality engineer will receive a salary of £34,250 + pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, cash plan healthcare, etc.**

Hours of work are 8am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-2:30pm on a Friday.
