**Foredowne Kennels & Cattery are looking for a new experienced part time Cattery assistant.**

A general knowledge of domestic animals is a must and qualification(s) **in animal welfare are essential**. The role will involve cleaning, feeding, exercising and general day to day care of the cats on site. Experience working with cats and in a cattery environment is preferred.

Hours will vary but the working day starts at 8am sharp, finishing at 5.30pm. You must also be prepared to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis (including Christmas, Easter and New Year), and in all weather conditions The possibility of extra hours within our busy periods is also available as well as covering holiday & sickness

We are looking for someone who is happy to work both alone and part of the team and who has a good sense of humour and great customer care skills, as you will often be dealing with members of the public. Most important is the passion to work with animals.

A clean driving license is essential as we provide a delivery and collection service for our clients. We also collect and look after animals from various agencies as part of an emergency out of hours contract when needed. **Applicants will need to be aged 25+ to comply with our van insurance requirements.**

Full on-site training will be giving to the successful applicant.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
