**Organisation position and purpose**

Our aim is to develop and deliver a high performing HR Operations provision for the Institute that is aligned with our PRIDE values, engages with our people and enables us to achieve our strategy and be recognised as an employer of choice.

The HR Coordinator is responsible for delivering a best in-class HR service to provide advice and support to colleagues and line managers.

**Main duties and responsibility**

You will be work closely with the HR Operations Manager ensuring alignment between People Strategy, operational delivery and service expectations are met.

Your main focus is to take the lead on delivering excellent customer service through effective and efficient management of key HR processes and activities on a day-to-day basis.. You will manage conflicting priorities and resolve issues as they arise, keeping all parties updated, whilst conducting a highly professional and confidential service, with customer service at the heart of everything you do.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has already established a good solid foundation in general HR administration and practice and who wants to develop further.
- Act as first point of contact for employees and managers queries providing correct guidance, support and advice and escalating where necessary
- To achieve effective customer service delivery with professionalism
- Handling high volumes of HR queries in a timely manner
- To carry out checklist and administration relating to the employee lifecycle ensuring processes and procedures are followed correctly
- Deliver quality administration and co-ordination of occupational health activities (including ill health / early retirement)
- Ensure all HR Systems and records are kept up to date and accurate
- To check validity and chase right to work documentation for all new starters and current employees and to escalate to HR Operations Manager if necessary
- Ensure effective and engaging communication with our employees on all aspects of our HR policies
- Building and managing relationships with external suppliers ensuring SLAs are met
- Manage multiple shared HR Inboxes in Outlook and responding to or forwarding queries to HR colleagues
- Supporting the HR team with general administrative duties and various HR projects
- Keeping our employee records and business information confidential and protected
- Using MIS to create monthly HR reports - dashboards etc., handling large sets of data and reporting on these data/statistics when requested
- Assisting with administration of appraisal process, i.e. keeping all the records up to date and populating appraisal tracker

**Specific requirements**

**Essential**
- Proven track record of delivering excellent HR service in a complex organisation.
- Experience of building strong relationships at all levels across an organisation and to build credibility.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting demands based on sound judgement
- Experience of remaining calm under pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Sound understanding of UK employment legislation.
- Strong IT skills and experience using HR systems.

**Desirable**
- Experience in recruitment interviewing others
- Evidence of change-management, influencing and strategic vision
- Achieved or studying towards relevant CIPD qualification
