We are a small and busy team who are growing to meet the needs of our business. While many of UKSBS employees focus on serving our clients and partners, we provide expert HR support and advice internally to our people.
To enable us to scale and develop our service, we are looking for a tenacious and results-orientated team lead.
Your primary focus will be to manage and develop a small team, and review our existing service provision, recommending and implementing new ways of working to support a more effective and efficient service. Your secondary focus will be as an escalation point for casework, a key contact for our managers and team leaders, and to establish strong working relationships with our trade unions.
In addition to our recruitment and learning team leads, this role will work closely with - and be coached by - our two people partners, to ensure alignment to our strategy.

To do this role well you will need: (essential criteria)
- you will be an experienced line manager who is focussed on developing their team,
- you will have in-depth working knowledge of general HR practice, policy, and employment law,
- you will be passionate about delivering a best-in-class service,
- you will be excited by the opportunity to build and continually improve service and delivery, and;
- you will be comfortable working autonomously, but collaboratively, and at pace.
In return for your skills and experience, we can offer you flexible and remote working options for a 37hr week (full time) with start and finish times between 8am - 6pm, or part time hours to suit.
