YMCA Hastings Foyer is a 47-bedroom project that opened in November 2021, it has a diverse group of young people, including young people from the Hastings area, young people leaving care and young people seeking asylum in the UK. As the Project Manager, you will work with the team to enable young people we are fortunate to have living with us to thrive within the local community.

We are looking for a Support Project Worker to join our enthusiastic and dynamic team at Hastings Foyer. This role is wide-ranging and includes several key responsibilities; using a trauma-informed and advantage thinking approach to support our young people in achieving their goals and supporting them to acquire the skills they need to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

You will manage a caseload of young people and you will be the driving force for helping them to feel empowered whilst identifying and attaining their goals. In addition, you will be instrumental in helping to identify, map and encourage the growth of each resident's assets, strengths and talents, driving them to succeed.

**This role is on a rolling rota, working 5 days in 7 days, with shifts of between 7.30am-3.30pm, 12pm-8pm and 2pm-10pm, this includes weekends and bank holidays. You will get to know the team and service, along with extensive training prior to starting on a rota.**

A successful applicant will be a dynamic, innovative individual who is passionate about supporting young people who are at risk to lead independent lives. You will already be a team player but also able to work on your own initiative. A successful applicant will love being involved in the support and growth of young people and will be able to actively encourage residents into education, training and employment. Ideally, you will have specific knowledge and experience of working with young people leaving care, along with an awareness of all aspects of safeguarding.

**YMCA DLG requires all staff and volunteers to be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and to respond proactively to safeguarding concerns. Successful applicants (dependent on role) are required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
