Based at our state-of-the-art distribution centre on the outskirts of Preston, James Hall & Co. Ltd. have been established for over 150 years proudly serving communities across the north of England as supplier and distributor to over 600 SPAR stores.

Our operations team are an integral part of the business and have maintained service levels through difficult periods ensuring our customers get what they need, when they need it.

**Hours**
- 36 hours per week
- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 19:30 to 08:00

**Pay**

£11.40 - £15.89 per hour (Applied to an efficiency based scheme)

**About the Role**

We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Reach Forklift Truck Driver. You will be working in our impressive, purpose-built fresh food warehouse operating in a constant temperature of 3 - 4oC where we are constantly investing in state-of-the-art technology and modern machinery.

**What will I be doing?**

Our warehouse team are crucial in the smooth running of operations and our Forklift Team ensures that our pick faces are replenished efficiently.

Each driver is applied to an efficiency scheme ensuring that it is the individual that gets rewarded for their efficiency over the week.
- Operating a Reach Truck up to 12 Metres
- Moving goods from Goods-In to the correct locations
- Using PDAs and on-board display screens to maintain stock traceability
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods into picking positions
- Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
- Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
- To meet Health & Safety requirements and forklift operating procedures

**A Few Things About You**
- To hold a RTITB licence refreshed in the last 5 years
- Previous and recent experience with Reach Forklift Truck Driving
- To be a team player with the drive to meet individual daily and weekly efficiency targets
- To have a flexible approach to work
