Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) supports thousands of vulnerable people across Cheshire and Merseyside.

We provide physical, mental health and learning disability services to a total population of around one million people.

Situated near two thriving cities in Liverpool and Manchester, CWP operates from 66 sites across Cheshire and Merseyside, including Wirral, Chester, Winsford, Crewe, Macclesfield, Sefton and Trafford.

We have been recognised by the Health Service Journal as one of the top places to work in the health service for the last two years running and committed to delivering person centred care.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated CWP as ‘Good’ overall, ‘better’ for treatments and ‘Outstanding’ for care.

We offer a variety of roles at all levels, so whether you are just starting out in your career or you are looking to use your skills and experience in a new role, CWP is the right employer for you.

At the NHS, we are reminded every day of how important life is. As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement whether that’s job share, part time or another flexible pattern.

**Job overview**:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with an established Cheshire Mental Health Support Team (MHST) based in Chester, Ellesmere Port and Northwich.

Band 5 Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner will work with colleagues in the Cheshire MHST who align closely with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, education settings and professionals supporting children, young people and their families.

The post involves working directly with schools, colleges and settings providing information, advice and guidance through consultation, direct work with children and young people and their families and delivering evidence based interventions.

It is recognised that that there is a national conversation and planning to open professional registration options for those qualified as CYWP/EMHP practitioners. We would expect that a successful applicant would actively pursue such registration when this is possible.

Experience of working/training within an MHST is desirable.

This post is offered as full time and permanent.

**Main duties of the job**:
The post-holder will work within Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Mental Health Support Team with a range of assessment and other interventions on an individual and wider systems basis under close clinical supervision from more senior staff.

Accessing regular case management and clinical supervision on an individual and group basis will be an important aspect of the role.

The post-holder will be able to deliver a range of 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT based interventions for children, young people, and parents/carers.
