We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maternity Cover Veterinary Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team at our Bromyard Office.

**About us**

Our team consists of highly motivated and diverse livestock and equine vets, TB testers and support staff which cover Herefordshire and the surrounding counties from our three offices in Bromyard, Ledbury and Hereford. The practice is privately owned and has its roots deep in Hereford’s agricultural history with its first record in 1919. We are a client facing business and strive to deliver an excellent service both on farm and in our offices with our focus primarily on delivering health care for our client’s animals. You will find the Directors of the business on-farm, come rain or shine, working alongside our fantastic team.

**About the role**

This is a challenging but rewarding role working within a team of 16 receptionists and administrative assistants to provide outstanding customer service and a high standard of administrative support to 17 veterinary surgeons and 9 TB testers.

The position is based at our Bromyard branch. Hours of work are Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:30 with an hour for lunch.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Administrative tasks to assist the vets with invoicing.
- Administrative tasks to assist with the end of month invoicing.
- Running reports to finalise the monthly checks.
- Liasing with vets.
- Using our practice management system and other software packages.
- Ad hoc administrative tasks.

It is important to note that this is a very diverse role with a wide range of duties and responsibilities and would therefore suit someone who enjoys a varied and demanding workload.

- Has good working knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft/excel. Prior experience in a veterinary environment or busy reception role is advantageous but not essential. A farming or equestrian background is preferable.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £19,978.41-£23,450.00 per year

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
