**Purpose of Role**
- Take the lead in supporting the Pastoral Team with a calm and purposeful climate. Through our Academy values, develop and improve the climate within the academy. This role will be based in our Student Services Office and responsible for disseminating and supporting the Heads of Year.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- To monitor camera provision and Class Chart behaviour management for lesson pick-ups
- To provide an effective, flexible and responsive administrative/business support service to the Pastoral team.
- To ensure telephone/visitor enquiries are responded to sensitively and resolved appropriately, directing more complex calls to appropriate staff.
- To provide a friendly, professional and customer focused climate for all students, visitors and callers.
- To respond to any ClassCharts alerts in a timely manner and resolve/de-escalate the incident as quickly as possible to limit the impact on learning.
- Support Teachers and the learning environment by adhering to and implementing the Assertive Discapline policy.
- Support with social times and pastoral duties.
- To ensure documents/reports are produced and formatted to school standards and within school deadlines (i.e. Risk Assessments)
- To staff and take responsibility for the Student Services entrance each morning ensuring students are ready for learning.
- To liaise with staff, pupils, or other outside agencies on behalf of Pastoral team as required to gather, receive and exchange information.
- To contribute to developing and maintaining effective and appropriate administrative and Pastoral systems in support of the school’s practices and procedures.
- To support monitoring and evaluating behaviour, safety, attendance and punctuality.
- To support the development and implementation of appropriate behaviour management strategies for the cohort.
- Assess student information on SIMs (including attendance) to identify areas of development, support and further intervention.
- Engage in professional development and share information across teams.
- To liaise with other agencies, where guided, to secure effective and coherent support for students.
- Establish productive working relationships with students, acting as a role model. Provide information, advice and guidance to support families and enable students to make choices about their own learning, behaviour and attendance.
- Challenge and motivate pupils, promote and reinforce self-esteem and resilience.
- Play an active role in the day to day management of student behaviour.
- Perform other relevant tasks as directed by senior leaders.
- Work in partnership with, and across, other Academies across The Impact Education Multi Academy Trust (the “Trust”) as required.
