**About the role**

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our professional team. As a member of the Head Office Team, you will share responsibility for the effective functioning of the business in achieving its vision, values and strategic objectives.

**Principal responsibilities**:

- Assist setting up new Retirement community accounts system
- Communicating with our Retirement Communities teams to ensure that accounting protocol is being followed and answering any queries they may have
- Monitoring of timesheet system, including checking timesheets for team’s wages
- Raise sales invoices in a timely manner
- Posting receipts and ensuring that they are allocated against correct items
- Process purchase invoices, checking against monthly statements
- Acquiring copy invoices and quotes from suppliers
- Answering queries from Homeowners, suppliers and colleagues
- Producing and monitoring arrears lists, liaising with site teams to assist swift collection
- Assisting with year-end procedures and setting budgets
- Credit card reconciliations
- Working with the administrator coordinator for multiple tasks
- Following tasks to completion

The role is based at our Head Office in Congleton, Cheshire. The working hours for this role are 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday, with flexibility to work from home on Monday and Friday.

**About you**

As well as having excellent communication skills, you will be positive, self-motivated, influential, analytical, calm under pressure and able to display initiative.

It is essential that you have excellent IT skills and be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.

Be a highly motivated self-starter who can prioritise and manage their own time and enjoy working as part of a team.

Ideally you will have:

- AAT Accounting level 3 or 3 years equivalent experience
- Experience and understanding in service charges
- Understanding of budget setting
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Experience of using Qube property management system
- Good excel skills are a must
