Wolfram has a wide range of technology across science, engineering and data science to enable organisations to achieve better decisions as we enter the AI era.
It can be a challenge to communicate to a wide range of audiences what Wolfram technology can do and how we can help them. A key element of the role of the content specialist is to overcome this and communicate “why computation” and “why Wolfram” through a variety of mediums, using new and existing content and formats.
**Reports to**: Digital Marketing and Events Manager
**Responsibilities**:
- Grasp quickly and understand complex and detailed content and develop a simple and coherent explanation
- Coordinate content to support company-wide marketing campaigns
- Generate ideas for accompanying visual content
- Working with multiple teams in the organisation to brainstorm new ideas
- Spot and present PR opportunities to which we can contribute
- Maintaining and managing PR lists and contacts
- Managing company social media channels and content
- PR and communications for senior staff
**Skills and experience**:
- Relevant experience in writing and presenting original content
- Interest in describing technical ideas
- Ability to think technically
- Interviewing to develop content
- Taking technical content and translating this into everyday language
- Highly organised
- Excellent written and presentation skills
- Interest or background in journalism is advantageous
