**The job itself**:
Withernsea High School is located in the pleasant, rural seaside town of Withernsea and serves the population of the town and surrounding villages. We have a dedicated Enhanced Resource provision (ERP) in school for KS3 students with specific SEMH needs from our community. Following the success of this provision we are delighted that the school and Local Authority have recognised the need for an expansion for further students joining the school next September.
As we seek to broaden the horizons of all our students through an excellent and relevant education, striving to prepare them for exciting and varied futures as respectful and responsible people, we are looking to recruit a High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). The successful applicant will implement and lead appropriate lessons with a small group of students with additional support needs. The students will predominantly spend their time in our enhanced provision following a bespoke curriculum to meet individual needs. You will promote high quality teaching, effective use of resources and a high standard of learning and achievement for all pupils within the provision working with classroom teachers and teaching assistants.
For the above post, you should be flexible, able to work independently, meet pre-determined deadlines and possess good verbal communication skills. As part of the contracted hours, the successful applicant will be expected to work some break and lunchtime duties as required.
