**Job Overview**:
We are looking for a Lab Operative to assist with tinting spectacle lenses using specialist dyes. You’ll be responsible for making sure tints are accurate, whilst liaising with the administrational team to ensure lenses are processed in a timely manner and despatched efficiently.

A great tint room operative is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Training will be provided, so you should have a willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.

Good colour vision is essential to this role.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Tinting spectacle lenses using warm dye baths, to exacting standards
- Using basic software to check accuracy of tints
- Raising certification paperwork using a PC
- Ensure quality control is passed before authorising for despatch
- Checking and cross-referencing orders
- Monitoring quality of dyes, and cleaning dye baths regularly
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed

**Education level**:

- Educated to GCSE level

**Experience**:

- No specific tinting experience required - full training will be given
- Experience of working in a small team to tight deadlines is an advantage
- Experience of working within the optical industry is an advantage

**Salary**: From £21,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- Tenterden: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
