We are looking for Transport Operations Planner to Produce paperwork and delivery notes for routes as necessary & to be skilled in aspects of the department.

You will provide support and cover for colleagues when necessary and assist with customer collections, courier interaction including package dispatch & receipt including Export & import criteria for goods worldwide.

The goal will be to:
1. Monitor deliveries in to Point 1 and direct couriers where required to the correct delivery point.

2. Work with out systems to action all Carrier orders on a daily basis and keep accurate logs.

3. Provide POD’s as requested by Customer Services

4. To issue collection notes for applicable routes and keep information current and up to date on the log.

5. To print delivery notes daily for picked routes, organise accordingly and Liaise with the Transport planners and Supervisors for any relevant instruction.

6. Learn the process and organisation structure for the successful communication with the Warehouse and Stores personnel on any issues arising.

7. Deal with Customer Collections - communicating effectively with customers as to availability.

8. Maintain an efficient process for the importing and exporting of goods in and out of the UK - and prepare the relevant documentation.

9. Understand & operate the goods inwards booking in system.

10. Assist in the booking in of goods for the Stores department where applicable. Ensure Safe systems of work, Risk assessments and process documents are followed.

11. Maintains safe and clean work environment.

12. Promoting teamwork, helping to develop problem solving skills and to reduce the chance of conflict emerging.

13. Supporting Team leaders to make sure daily targets met and any issues resolved.

14. A flexible working approach will be expected, overtime out of the normal working week will be required.

15. Carrying out filing and recording of data from various departments within the logistics division including but not limited to: Receipts/Delivery notes & Pick lists, picking & put away records, stillage tracking and any other administrative recording required.

In addition to the above you will be:
1. Supporting team colleagues to make sure daily targets met and any issues resolved.

2. Assist and cover other roles within the department during holiday and sickness.

3. Responsible for protecting all employees during your shift to ensure that every employee should work in an environment free from sexual, social, and intentional harassment, victimisation, bullying and discrimination.

4. Be a POC for any internal driver and assist the Section Supervisor with driver briefings and other driver issues

On offer is a basic 40 hours a week contract with a starting hourly rate of £11.00 inclusive of attendance bonus.

Within the flexes of the business there is possibility of overtime.

The pay stated above is based on a grade 1 entry level position. As you become a more experienced we offer grade 2 and 3 which come with an increase in pay award with the potential of £24,000 before any overtime
