This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Specialist to join a growing in-house occupational health team at The Royal Marsden Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a nurse-led Occupational Health service with a sessional OH Physician.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Occupational Health Nurse who will work with the team to support us in the delivery of high-quality Occupational Health can demonstrate relevant prior experience in similar roles.

You will be a member of a small team based between our Chelsea and Greenwich sites delivering the full remit of Occupational Health Services, including:

- Delivering specialist occupational health advice to all disciplines and grades of staff where necessary, providing specialist information and support to ensure consistent best practice to prevent work related ill health, and promote good health.
- Triaging management referrals and pre-placement questionnaires to the appropriate clinician
- Reviewing pre-placement questionnaire and giving advice regarding adjustments required
- Undertaking immunisation and phlebotomy for NHS immunisation requirements, including Mantoux/BCG
- Providing specialist advice relating to blood borne viruses and management of inoculation incidents.
- Undertaking complex pre-employment questionnaires, work related or sickness absence health issues and write clear and concise management advice reports.
- Undertaking triage and case management processes, including simple case management
- Providing advice and support contact tracing for specific illnesses and infections
- Supporting the flu vaccination programme for staff

2.7 To work within NMC directives at all times i.e., The Code, Record Keeping, Scope of Professional Practice, and Administration of Medicines.
2.8 To maintain an effective, secure and confidential occupational health record system in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
2.9 To undertake health screening and Occupational Health Specialist advisory services as required by the department.
2.10 To provide confidential nurse support as required.
2.11 To assess new starters suitability for their role and provide advice on adjustments to managers.
2.12 To undertake simple case management assessments and provide a medical report with recommendations in accordance with best practice and the Equality Act 2010.
2.13 To assess and refer employees for further treatment i.e., physiotherapy, staff counselling.
2.14 To participate in the implementation of OH screening and vaccination programmes in accordance with agreed policies.
2.15 Support the provision of the flu vaccination programme, to maximise uptake amongst all staff groups.
