**Youth Mentor**

The Supply Room is currently looking for a Youth Worker to join a vibrant school.

Working as a Youth Worker will allow you to work with children in groups as well as 1:1. These can also include working with children with SEN, meaning interaction with children with ASD, ADHD, Severe Autism, etc.

The role of a Youth Worker will allow you to receive exceptional training and knowledge from professionals e.g. Headteachers, SENCOs, School Business managers, and Therapists.

This role is open to both fresh graduates and experienced individuals looking for the next step

No day is the same as a Youth Worker, and you can expect to be:

- Working with small groups as well as 1:1
- Supporting students with SEN - e.g. Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia
- Working with students across KS1 and KS2

**What is the school looking for?**
- Passion for working with young children with Learning Difficulties
- Confident and self-assured Youth Worker with a passion for working with moderate learning difficulties
- Good team player with lots of initiative
- Previous experience working 1:1 with children with high needs.
- Patient and empathetic individual

**What we will need**:

- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service
- 2 graded references from previous employers
- Availability full-time; Monday to Friday (08:30am - 16:00pm)

All SEN Teaching Assistants currently at the school have thrived and been at the school long term, we are looking for someone else to follow in their path. This is a long-term role to start as soon as possible.
