Exalt Training Limited are looking for a dynamic and experience apprenticeship tutor/assessor to join our Residential Childcare/Early Years apprenticeship team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting expanding business working within the Work Based Learning/Apprenticeship sector. Previous experience in a similar role as well as holding a teaching and assessing qualification is essential for this role.

**POSITION IN ORGANISATION**

**Reports to**:Residential Childcare/Early Years Team Leader/Head of Operations

**Responsible for**:Residential Childcare/early Years apprenticeships, Qualifications, Functional Skills teaching and mentoring, Teaching, coaching and supporting apprentices and learners.

**MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB**

Do you have Residential Childcare and/or early Years experience and hold a teaching(Minimum CET or equivalent) and assessing(CAVA/TAQA or equivalent) qualifications and the ability to work as a Skills Coach/Assessor/Tutor progressing apprentices and learners through these qualifications? Our Skills Coaches/Assessor/Tutors work with a range of SMEs and high profile Levy clients across the Early Years/Childcare sector. This commitment to quality means we need strong team working on both the delivery and the compliance - ensuring that KPIs and ESFA requirements are met - and supporting the Team Leader to progress and teach their caseload and maintain quality requirements.

As part of the role, you’ll be expected to:
**DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Apprentices/Learners**
- Support & coordinate initial assessment paperwork and induction of Apprentices/Learners onto the Residential Childcare and early Years Qualifications, teach and embed Functional Skills or other training programmes.
- Mentor, teach and prepare Apprentices/Learners in readiness for sitting their Functional Skills tests, completing diagnostics and providing any teaching and learning requirements they might need.
- Design, deliver and assess Residential Childcare and early Years qualifications, plan effective delivery schedules alongside Employers and update relevant MIS systems.

**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**

**Qualifications**
- Level 3-5 Residential Childcare and/or Early Years qualifications.
- Achievement of a teaching qualification (minimum CET or equivalent)
- Key Skills Level 3/Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- CAVA/TAQA A1/D32/D33 (or equivalent)
- Achievement of or willing to work towards IQA award

**Experience**
- Experience of working within residential child care and/or Early Years delivering qualification within this apprenticeship sector
- Assessment of Apprentices/Learners
- Lesson Planning & Preparation
- Delivery of Teaching/Training to Apprentices/Learners
- Initial Assessment of Apprentices/Learners
- Identifying and implementing training solutions.
- Assessment to identify additional learning support needs.
- Working in an environment offering individual support and support for differentiation.
- Experience of working in a ESFA / FE or WBL training environment

**Skills/Abilities - Other**
- Ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to produce work to an appropriate standard in line with requirements of the role.
- Use a PC to create, store and retrieve information.
- Effective Time Management Skills.
- Flexible and able to cope under pressure.
- An understanding of Safeguarding Issues.
- An understanding of Equality & Diversity.

**Work-related Circumstances**
- Possession of a full driving licence, the ability to drive and use of a car.
- Ability and willingness to travel to Learner/Employer sites to carry out duties of the role.
- The ability and willingness to undertake relevant staff development.

**Other Duties**

In addition to the above duties the Skills Coach may also be required to:

- Carry out any other duties as directed within the general nature and character of the post.
- Travel to different Company, employer and Learner locations, as required in order to carry out the duties of the role.
- To represent the Company in a professional and competent manner at all times.

Salary is £29,000 dependant on experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time role of 37.5HPW Monday to Friday
