Standby Man

AWC are currently seeking a Standby Man to join our team. As a Standby Man, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Must have Scottish Power EN SB-1

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and maintain equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance tasks
- Respond promptly to any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any issues or concerns
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any findings or recommendations

**Skills**:

- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Flexibility to work on-call or standby shifts as needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £450.00-£475.00 per day
