**Job summary**:
The UK Government’s Department for Business and Trade is looking for a talented and experienced videographer and editor to join its team.

The role will include shooting and lighting scenes as well as editing premium content, both long and short form, from assembly through to final delivery (including grading, sound-mixing and versioning).

Your work will directly help the department to promote opportunities for export and investment, while building appetite for UK goods and services overseas. Your work with also connect businesses with relevant support, advice and other resources.

**Job description**:

- Edit enticing, original and high-quality original video content across multiple platforms, creating compelling stories.
- Create bespoke assets that show knowledge of and a consideration for social media audiences - including, but not limited to, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
- Manage multiple edits and projects at the same time.
- Capture photos at marquee moments, delivering at pace across multiple channels.
- Contribute innovative creative concepts across a broad range of video content.
- Help to develop and ensure the style, tone and quality of Departmental video content.
- Responsible for the organisation, versioning, backup, archival and Quality Control of all footage across a busy post-production team.
- Research and source the best music tracks and sound effects for a given project, using a production music database.
- Work flexibly and reactively to a high-volume video workflow.
- Help to create, update and develop all graphic assets for video content.
- Ensure all deadlines are met throughout the post production process and deliver final assets on time.
- Share knowledge and be a champion for innovative video within an content team working with multiple different media.
- Come up with original ideas to execute on our channels.
- Produce high-quality video and photo output for campaigns and ministerial events
- Manage film shoots, in the office and on location around the UK and abroad.

**Hybrid working**

Please be aware that this role can only be worked from within the UK and not overseas.

Informal hybrid working arrangements will be available as agreed with the vacancy manager and in line with the requirements of the role.

Most DBT employees will be working a hybrid pattern, spending 2-3 days a week (pro rata) in an office, on average. If your office location is London, you will be eligible to receive London weighting.

**Person specification**:
**Essential Criteria**
- Proven experience within commercial & creative videography.
- Experience capturing high quality video, photo and sound content with mínimal crew.
- High-level knowledge and experience editing both short and long form content on Adobe Premiere or Davinci resolve.
- Editing specifically for social media.
- Experienced in data wrangling, transcoding, video codecs and different formats & aspect ratios.
- Upkeeping and organising a central asset library.
- Colour correction and colour grading.
- Motion graphics.
- Sound mixing.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience working with drones
- Experience working internationally.
- Experience managing live streams (e.g., LinkedIn Lives).
