Comex 2000 is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Planner to join our VMB Midlands Support team based at our Wednesbury site.

We are looking for a Planner to support the effective operations of the Virgin Media Business department. Activities also include support to key customer project for leading telecoms companies in the UK. The focus of the work will be to support the department with a range of different responsibilities ensuring SLA’s and KPI’s are adhered to.

More specifically;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and being PC literate
- Previous use of GIS systems would be useful - GComms
- Effective customer and stakeholder management, including regular project updates clarifying project status as appropriate
- Ability to draw together different technical disciplines
- Able to communicate with people across multiple locations and at different levels
- Able to identify and work with key stakeholders inside and outside of the business
- Able to support and input into workflow processes and associated documentation
- Attention to detail and accuracy coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude
- An awareness and understanding of current health and safety procedures
- Understanding of Civils & Cabling within a telecommunications arena
- Proven track record of planning successful projects
- **What will you be doing?**_

As a Planner, your core responsibilities will be
- Scheduling and prioritisation of Civils and Cable planning work activities, including quality checking job packs from client
- Liaison with any local authority agents and any other third parties as well as the relevant clients as part of the overall planning role
- Flexible approach in dealing with amendments to planned information
- Ensure accurate completion of all planned submissions and work is completed on time
- Distribute work to gangs as and when necessary
- Assist with raising and ensuring notices/permits are in place prior to start of works across all programmes
- Update internal and client systems where appropriate
- Receive and action updates from the Planning Managers
- Run workstack reports, jobs due, jobs overdue, number of date changes etc
- Attend client and internal calls/meetings as organisation requirements dictate
- End to end responsibility for order progression and assigning the Planning Managers work
- As-built collating/approving, ensuring relevant documentation received from the field along with reviewing template pay sheets
- Producing site specific RAMS for cable/civils works
- Raising PIA whereabouts accordingly and submitting PIA as-builts
- Site meetings as and when required
