Handyperson / Painter & Decorator

Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Handyperson / Painter & Decorator to join our Facilities Management team working at various police stations in Bromley, Lewisham, Sutton and Gravesend. This is a permanent full-time position working Mon to Fri from 8am to 5pm.

**The role**:

- Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager
- To provide handyperson / painting and decorating services and general site duties as required.
- To carry out painting and decorating in the building, ensuring a rotational check of all areas to ensure walls, doors, ceilings, and all decorative surfaces are always kept in good order.
- Maintain buildings in appropriate condition and report to management.
- Undertake maintenance technical duties that are within training and competency, both as planned and reactive work.
- To provide portering services: this will include moving of furniture, setting up of rooms and general moves of a similar nature.
- Proactively and continuously undertake sweeps of the buildings looking for service needs of customers and logging jobs on the helpdesk.
- Working 40 hours per week between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday

**The person**:

- Previous painting and decorating experience is essential
- Good understanding of the maintenance requirements of building services assets associated within a multi-site environment
- Have an understanding of Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work
- Able to demonstrate strong communication and client relationship skills
- Hold a full driving license and be able to travel independently between sites
- Excellent attention to detail

- Subject to security vetting by the Metropolitan Police
