Purpose of the role:
To pack meat products for customers according to the correct specifications.

Main Responsibilities:
Ability to identify individual vacuum-packed cuts of meat and placing them in to specified containers/boxes
Recognition of different cuts of meat that legally must be weighed and labelled correctly
Placing trays/boxes on correct pallets to customer specification
Ability to use pallet truck and pallet scale as required
Recognising and placing selected cuts of meat into correct customer specified bags at variable line speeds
Remove out of specification product, and store as required
Straightening prepack bags that are already on production line
Placing bags properly on the Cryovac machine
Sealing blue plastic bags on freezer line, putting correct flanks into dolavs for relevant customer, ensuring they are to required specification
Selection of beef quarters by date and category that are pushed along rails to input scale

Full Time Contract

Pay

£11.42 per hour, but rising though the pay scales based on a competency assessment

**Requirements**:
Qualification and training:
Previous experience working in a high-volume meat processing factory highly beneficial
Previous factory experience desirable
Good communication skills
Passion for food
All training provided
