**Summary**

We are delighted to deliver communication services for the Framework Agreement for all Public Bodies in Northern Ireland (NI) and be the sole provider of communication professionals with Deaf people across Northern Ireland for all Health and Social Care (HSC) appointments.

In addition to working with freelance interpreters across Northern Ireland to fulfil the supply of these contracts, we are seeking to appoint in-house interpreters to work with us at SLi and SignVideo. This is a blended model of provision that SLi currently has in Scotland which serves the community well in ensuring a flexible provision of communication services for Deaf people in remote and face-to-face appointments.

**Location**:Home Based

**Salary**:£35K - £50K

**Contract**:Full-Time/Part-Time

**The Role**

The main role of successful applicants is to provide BSL/English interpreting in a variety of face-to-face domains and settings. In addition to this, there will be a requirement to interpret for remote sessions for Deaf people in Northern Ireland and to support our VRS services on SignVideo as part of an established, committed and dynamic staff team.

All applicants are expected to have a sound knowledge of issues relating to the Deaf community and a clear understanding of the role of a BSL/English Interpreter and be registered with either NRCPD or RBSLI as a Registered Sign Language Interpreter.

**What will you need?**
- A suitable home working environment
- A fast, reliable broadband connection (min - 5mbps upload/download)
- An ability to work a minimum of 1.5 days per week or equivalent monthly hours.
