Laundry Assistant

Stonebow House is offering a position within our Ancillary department with the following benefits:

The home also supports training and working towards vocational qualifications. Stonebow House is a registered apprenticeship centre.

Good use of technology, cleaning products and food preparation will enable you to complete your tasks well within the shift.

We are looking for people who can adapt and accept change as we do want to be at the forefront of care. The ancillary department is responsible for dining, cleaning and laundry. Infection control is very important to us. The dining section looks after the nutritional requirements of our residents, setting menus with our external food provider and purchasing of food for 28 residents. There is an early breakfast shift from 8-10:30 to provide a full breakfast for 28 residents. We welcome innovative ideas and creating restaurant quality dining experiences. The laundry side is responsible for the washing of residents clothes and keeping it in good order plus the laundry of flannels, towels and linen used during the day.

Any experience in the hospitality, catering or restaurant sector will be wonderful, but not essential.

In this role you will support the kitchen to serve breakfast to our residents before completing the daily laundry tasks. Their will be the opportunity to pick up additional hours to cover annual leave.

Part-time: 12 hours per week with the option to cover annual leave.
