Are you a skilled Carpenter/Joiner with a passion for sustainable retrofitting of domestic properties? Join our team in the ECO industry and play a vital role in improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.

As a Carpenter/Joiner, you will execute specialized tasks focused on sustainable retrofitting in domestic properties. Your responsibilities will include constructing and installing sustainable frameworks, walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, and fixtures using eco-friendly materials and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Read and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and plans accurately to assess the scope of work for energy-efficient retrofitting in domestic properties.

2. Select and procure environmentally-friendly materials that meet quality standards and project requirements, contributing to our sustainable retrofitting goals.

3. Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and homeowners to seamlessly integrate green building principles into retrofitting projects in domestic properties.

5. Adhere to rigorous safety guidelines and regulations to create a secure work environment for yourself and stakeholders involved in domestic retrofitting.

6. Complete assigned tasks efficiently within project timelines and budgets, incorporating energy-efficient practices for successful domestic retrofitting.

7. Conduct meticulous repairs and maintenance on existing structures, identifying and addressing structural issues to optimize energy performance and reduce carbon emissions.

8. Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment with care to ensure excellent working condition, employing energy-saving strategies in tool usage.

9. Contribute valuable input and suggestions to improve construction processes for sustainable retrofitting in domestic properties.

10. Expertly construct internal wall insulation frames using eco-friendly materials, significantly enhancing thermal efficiency and energy conservation.

11. Proficiently execute external wall insulation work, utilizing sustainable insulation systems to improve thermal performance, reduce energy consumption, and enhance weather resistance.

In addition, the Carpenter/Joiner's role in domestic properties includes tasks such as installing laminate and wood floors, fixtures, and contributing to repairs and refurbishment projects.

Pay: £11.93-£20.02 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
