This role is for our Discover store situated in the departure lounge of Glasgow Airport; we are currently looking for an energetic, enthusiastic person to join our team, someone with a passion for excellence and teamwork.

**Job Purpose**:Outstanding service is the heart of our business, and a key element of this is to provide excellent availability of our products to our customers. The role of a Stock Controller is to be actively involved in the daily running of the stock management processes and follow procedures. Receiving deliveries and assisting in the transferring of stock to the store as requested. Supporting the customer experience through stock availability and legal compliance of deliveries and controls.

**Hours**: 37.5, over 5 days: Monday - Friday - approx. hours 7.30am to 4pm

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Checking in goods**:

- Picking stock for the store
- Packing the stock into cages/pallets ready for transferring to the store
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Assisting and processing security screening of goods at cargo centre before taking to store
- Checking in coming deliveries against supplier paperwork.
- Storing products in their allocated locations
- Assist in stocktakes

**Security**:

- Ensure all stock/deliveries go to the store safely and securely
- Ensure the safe usage of the forklift truck and lorry (if required)
- Complete daily inspection of the forklift truck and lorry (if required)
- Assist Supervisor / Manager in ensuring stock is always moved in compliance with C & E regulations
- Assisting the Supervisors/ Managers / Admin in actioning breakers and stock controls

**Health & Safety**:

- Safe usage of all manual handling equipment
- Daily inspection of equipment
- Responsible for being aware of any potential hazards within the stockrooms and reporting them to the Manager/ Supervisors/ HR

**Housekeeping**:

- Ensure stockroom is kept clean and tidy
- General housekeeping
- Dispose of all waste products in line with guidelines

**Miscellaneous**:

- Ensure there is a full supply of carrier bags, boxes, etc.
- Be prepared to undertake ad-hoc duties required as per the needs of the business
- Be prepared to adjust working hours / days as per the needs of the business
- Weekend working as part of shifts to ensure a seven-day operation

**Accessing the airport**:
A five-year working and personal reference, along with a Criminal Reference Check, will be required for this role as the store is airside in the departures lounge. This will be discussed in more detail at interview stage or please contact us if you have any questions regarding this.
