**What You Will Do**

As an Environmental Advisor role, you will support the Sustainability Manager to drive the improvement of Wilson James' environmental performance across the group by supporting the development and implementation of the Environmental Management System across the business. This would involve supporting all departments in their contribution to the corporate environmental objectives.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Engage with stakeholders to support internal and external EMS audits in line with ISO14001 standard.
- Conducting site waste audits
- Ensure environmental assurance and compliance through audit and inspection, such as waste audits, site environmental audits, supplier capability audits, ISO14001 audits.
- Encourage best practice in sustainability across WJ, through education and knowledge sharing activities, such as a sustainability blog, news, e-learning platform, case studies across a range of media.
- Enhance environmental management understanding across Wilson James through the design and delivery of toolbox talks and environmental emergency response drills to test our environmental emergency response plans.
- Support on engagement with key stakeholders and with regulatory bodies like the Environment Agency to ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
- Carry out monitoring and investigation of environmental incidents, conduct a root-cause analysis and coordinate the implementation of corrective actions to mitigate future occurrences.
- Update, review and manage the compliance calendar and support the management of the aspects and impacts register.
- Collate sustainability and environmental performance data

**WIN**
**What We Expect of You**
- Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent in an Environmental related discipline
- Experience with stakeholder engagement with well-developed communication skills with site staff, clients and regulators.
- Ability to analyse and interpret environmental data and translate that into detailed reports, generate trends and create action plans.
- Experience with Environmental Management Systems with a solid background in ISO14001
- Experience with influencing people at all levels
- Full UK Driver's License
- Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office and SharePoint

**Desirable**
- IEMA membership or similar environmental body
- ISO14001 accreditation
- Experience with Internal and External EMS audits

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
