Lymphoedema Practitioner

Lymphoedema Practitioner Band 6 (37.5 hours)

We are looking for an experienced health care professional who is self-motivated, dynamic and forward thinking to support the further development of a progressive Lymphoedema Service within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The Lymphoedema Practitioner will act as an expert resource providing specialist advice regarding the clinical management of individuals presenting with non-cancer and cancer related Lymphoedema.

Working closely with Dermatology, Tissue Viability, Therapy and Vascular and Wound clinic services, the post holder will support the Lymphoedema Lead Specialist in the development and implementation of a Primary/Community based Lymphoedema service across the Integrated Locality Groups.

This will include the provision of assessment and appropriate management strategies including Decongestive Lymphatic Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, maintenance treatments, education and support for patients developing Lymphoedema.

The post holder will be based in the Bridgend area however at times of pressure the post holder will also be required to work across all ILGs (Rhondda/Taf Ely & Merthyr/Cynon) within Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB.
