Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) is the new brand of Magnox Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). NRS is responsible for decommissioning first generation nuclear power stations Berkeley, Bradwell, Chapelcross, Dungeness A, Hinkley Point A, Hunterston A, Oldbury, Sizewell A, Trawsfynydd and Wylfa, and research sites Harwell and Winfrith. NRS is also responsible for electricity generation at hydroelectric plant Maentwrog. As a division of NRS, Dounreay is responsible for the clean-up and demolition of the former centre of fast reactor research and development.

About the role

The Work Pack lead will report to the Project Manager and will help influence efficient and cost-effective delivery, take ownership on behalf of the Project Manager for specific deliverables needed to sustain quality in delivery by providing the required liaison, documentation, and everyday interaction with others within the project and wider site community.

You will have working knowledge of Project Management methodologies and techniques, either through direct experience or working within the function who aid project delivery.

**Key Deliverables**
- Take ownership for planning execution, monitoring of discreate work packages.
- Delivery of a safe project via leading by example, and installing a positive safety culture
- Aiding the Project manager in the preparation and drafting of business cases in readiness for governance approval.
- Providing input for the Project Manager to compile cost estimates and the managing forecasts and Estimate at Completion (EAC’s) (through a project controls team)
- Work with the project manager in the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting internally to the Program Management Office,
- Help in the identify and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle,
- Aid the project managers in preparing the artifacts needed for sanction governance to take place.
- Have a high level of communication skills and an open and honest working style, with the ability to direct others within the team.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Working knowledge of delivering projects.
- Exposure to project delivery
- Degree Qualified, HNC/HND Level will be considered. (Essential)
- APM Qualification (Desirable)
- Provide guidance to others on the need for maintaining safe and clean delivery
- Exposure to managing multiple stakeholders - sometimes with conflicting drivers (Essential)
