Bookkeeper (Sole Charge)

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Sole Charge Bookkeeper to work (on site) for a long-established manufacturing company in Cranleigh, Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual to play a vital role in the smooth operation of our business.

Please note this role is office-based at GU6 8PT, Cranleigh, Surrey and is NOT suitable for remote working

What You'll Do:

- Manage all bookkeeping functions for a long-established (over 40 years) reputable manufacturer
- Proficiency in using accounting software like Sage (We use Exchequer)to handle tasks such as:

- Bank reconciliations
- Accounts payable processing
- Accounts receivable processing
- Maintaining a multi-currency sales ledger
- Credit control activities
- Accruals and prepayments
- Possess knowledge of stock control and manufacturing journals
- Prepare and reconcile VAT returns
- Month end reports
- Assist with various office administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and following up with vendors etc.

Who You Are:

- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Sole Charge Bookkeeper
- Right to work in the UK without any restrictions on duration or nature of work
- Hands-on experience with modern accounting software
- Reliable and able to commute to our office location in GU6 8PT, Cranleigh, Surrey
- Thrive in a collaborative work environment (although the role itself is primarily solo charge)
- Meticulous with a strong eye for detail
- Maintain composure under pressure
