**Mobile HGV Mechanic / Technician**

**+ Company Van**

**£15.50 to £16.50 per hour**

**Flexible start and finish time due to the nature of the job - approx. 45 hours per week**

**Overtime is at time and a half on Saturdays and double time on Sundays**

Ideally you will hold a level 2 or 3 NVQ or City & Guilds Qualification in HGV Mechanics however if you are time-served and have a good number of years’ experience we will consider you. We don’t expect you to have mobile HGV Mechanic experience either althoughthis would be advantageous so you understand what the mobile role entails.

**About the Company**:
Our client is a leading seller of new and used trucks and also provides truck/lorry mounted crane rental services. They have a network of strategically positioned depots across the UK with their head office based just outside Glasgow; as the newly appointedMobile HGV Technician you will be working on a mobile basis from your home address covering Birmingham, South Midlands, Bristol and South Wales (and everything in between)

**The role of HGV Technician will involve being responsible for**:

- Inspections and servicing
- repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner
- investigate and diagnose faults, report findings and be able to carry out all repairs to the current manufacturers’ standards, both on-site at clients’ premises and road-side for breakdowns when required
- The HGV Technician will be reporting to the Workshop Manager

We are looking for a team player to fill the role of HGV Technician and someone who will be flexible and able to work to tight deadlines. You must have previous HGV technical experience and can adopt a hands-on approach to all aspects of the role to ensurecontinued high levels of work are carried out right first time. Only motivated, experienced and reliable HGV Technicians should apply.
