This new role; Head of Finance - Projects will be part of the Finance and Digital Directorate Leadership Team and will support the Deputy Director of Strategic Finance with the delivery of statutory financial duties.

As an expert in project and business case requirements and techniques the post-holder will be expected to deliver against the Trusts corporate objectives; in particular the Trusts medium term objective to achieve sustainable financial health.

The post holder will need to be technically and intellectually strong and have vision and leadership skills to support continuous improvement. Key to this will be the use of influencing and negotiating skills involving a range of stakeholders.

Specifically the post holder will support on a wide ranging and challenging portfolio of work for and on behalf of the Trust, including; responsibility for influencing strategic decision making within the Trust and across the wider health system through the provision of highly complex business and financial advice and support to the Trust Board, Executive Team, Senior Managers and Clinicians across the Trust.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Supporting the Deputy Director of Strategic Finance in coordinating the production and interpretation of the strategic and operational financial information and corporate reports and supports on the financial activities in relation to the Annual Planning process, the Trust Clinical Strategy and the Lincolnshire ICS.
- Representing and providing support on behalf of the Trust in the financial modelling and submissions of the Lincolnshire ICS.
- Supporting partnership working across Lincolnshire in relation to development of highly complex business cases and projects.
- Taking lead responsibility for the production and development of specific large strategic capital and revenue projects, including leading on and taking responsibility for the accuracy of the financial analysis;
- Taking lead responsibility for determining what best practice looks like for each level of business case/project;
- Leading the written production and presentation of key papers for the Trust Board and sub committees;
- Leading robust financial reviews of key strategic projects following their implementation to determine the implications on the Trust’s medium and long-term financial plans which impacts the whole organisation;
- Representing the Trust at relevant National and Regional Forums.
- Deputising the Deputy Director of Strategic Finance when required
